abaQon Project Report: Jira & Confluence Best Practices

THE PROJECT

Through our collaboration with several Swiss banks, it became clear that although Jira and Confluence are pivotal in project and portfolio management, their utilisation often fell short of optimal, namely when it comes to shaping how to deal with estimating, prioritising and executing delivery on a large scale. Recognising this, we identified the need for targeted discussions, and we organised workshops to address these shortcomings. Attended by key project stakeholders, each session was tailored to meet the specific needs of the project.

OUR CONTRIBUTION

abaQon organises and leads a workshop, which is structured as follows:

  • Assessment of Current Practices: Participants evaluate each key aspect of their existing project management structures and identify areas for improvement.
  • Sharing Insights and Best Practices: We provide insights into successful strategies and best practices that we established through our work with clients, offering actionable solutions and examples
  • Open Discussion on Next Steps: The workshop concludes with an open discussion on the next steps, allowing our participants to plan how to integrate the insights and improvements discussed.

REALISED ADDED VALUE

Through the discussions and exchanges, participants leave with a common understanding of the challenges they face in their project management and delivery processes. Additionally, a summary of the discussion and abaQon’s best practices are shared, including a possible way forward to equip the participants with the tools and knowledge to optimise their project management infrastructure effectively.
